Old Frothingslosh - The Pale Stale Ale For The Pale Stale Male, The Beer With The Foam On The Bottom - had nothing on these beers...these beers couldn't even muster half of the possible twenty points. These are the very worst of the beers on my beer list.

When beers are this bad, I'll always give them another chance. (Well...almost always.) There might have been a problem with the particular keg or bottle I had that day, or a temporary problem in the brewery, or just maybe even possibly a problem with my own palate. Full Sail Amber Ale is a good example...a nine-point beer in 1993 was a seventeen-point beer when tasted at the brewery just two months later, and the bottled version was a Hall-of-Famer in 1996.

Still, there are too many breweries that consistently produce beers that border on the undrinkable. There are even a few that permanently reside across that border. We all know who they are...but just in case we don't, we can find them on the far end of my Best Brewery list.

Caution: Keep a bucket handy while perusing this page, and maybe even a pint of Guinness for reassurance.

For a second opinion, please consult Mitch Lavender's Bad Beer O' Th' Month page.
