Roulette is the easiest casino game to run at home with zero real casino equipment, you do not even need a wheel. This version uses a printed or hand-drawn betting layout (or a free roulette wheel app on a phone/tablet) and turns every spin into a drinking round.
What You Need
- A roulette wheel, real or a free spinning-wheel app, or just a printed European roulette layout (0 to 36) and a phone random-number spinner
- Poker chips or coins for placing “bets” (no real money, this is a drinking game, not gambling)
- 4 to 8 players
- Beer of choice for everyone
How to Play
Each round, every player picks a bet type before the spin: a single number, red or black, odd or even, or a dozen (1 to 12, 13 to 24, 25 to 36). Spin, then resolve drinks based on what hit.
The Drinking Rules
- Bet on red or black and lose: Drink once
- Bet on odd or even and lose: Drink once
- Bet on a dozen and lose: Drink twice
- Bet on a single exact number and lose: Nothing, that was a long shot, everyone else drinks once in your honor
- Bet on a single exact number and win: Everyone else at the table finishes their current drink
- Ball lands on 0: Whoever spun drinks twice, then re-spins
Keeping It Fair
Rotate who spins each round so no one player controls the pace of the whole game. If you are using a phone app, agree on the app before starting, some have different wheel layouts (American roulette adds a 00 slot), so make sure everyone is betting against the same odds.
What Beer Works Here
Betting on red/black or odd/even hits close to 50/50, so drinks come steadily but not brutally, a session lager or pilsner in the 4 to 5% range keeps the game going for a full hour without anyone tapping out early. Save anything above 6% for a “single number win” celebration round only.

What to Drink While You Spin
Roulette moves fast between spins, so lean toward easy-drinking beers you can finish before the next round starts rather than something you want to sip slowly.
