🗒️Red Clay Brewing Company Review

Walking into Red Clay, the warmth hit me immediately. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering to let me taste test different beers to find the perfect one for my taste buds.

My bartender, Vic, was amazing; he remembered my name and order even when the place was bustling.

I appreciate that personal touch as you have probably noticed from my other Alabama brewery reviews!

The Beer Selection

Wow, the beer choices were just right! The selection was balanced for different palates, from a standard Pilsner to the unique Southern Bumpkin (sweet potato brown ale).

I particularly enjoyed the River Defender, a light and crushable IPA, and was impressed by the award-winning Murder Creek Cherry cider.

If you’re not into beer, they even have wine and spritzers. See below for my complete beer recommendations for Red Clay Brewing.

Delightful Eats

You’ve got to try the food! I’m still dreaming about the cauliflower crust pizza with pesto sauce and veggies.

As a massive meat fan, especially steak I never thought I would be raving about a cauliflower pizza, but there you go!

The pizza was perfect, and I the giant pretzel was unreal. Filling up the plate it was served on.

Entertainment and Atmosphere

Red Clay offers live music nights, including Wednesday night Irish music, that’s just a hoot! I even enjoyed the Auburn University Jazz Band.

The acoustics were excellent, the seating varied, and there were games like corn hole to keep you entertained.

It was laid back and industrial, with a welcoming outdoor area.

Tours and More

But wait, there’s more! I took a tour of where they brew the beer.

Patrick, my tour guide, was terrific.

He explained how the beer was brewed and canned and emphasized how clean they kept their brewing area.

If you like seeing how things are made, this tour is for you.

Community Involvement

Red Clay is more than a brewery; it’s a community staple.

There’s always something happening with weekly trivia called Brains & Brews, special beer and pizza pricing, and various events like their Annual OysterFest.

They love their community.

Verdict: A Must-Visit Spot

Red Clay Brewing Company isn’t just a regular restaurant; it’s an experience. Great beer, delicious food, friendly staff, and a plethora of activities make it a must-visit spot.

There’s something for everyone, from the novice beer drinker to the craft beer enthusiast.

Definitely, two thumbs up from me!
