South Shore burned down on March 31, 2000. Reconstruction began almost immediately, and they should be open any day now.

Amber, massie head. Faintly perfumey aroma. Light body, real clean all the way through.
Rhoades' Scholar Stout

Black, dense head. Some coffee aroma. Medium body, slightly roasty, sweetish finish.
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale

Pale yellow, hazy, good head. Lemony wheat aroma. Very light body, lots of lemon flavor, real clean finish.
