My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
13.0 points overall
-
Dunkels Kellerbier
Style 13 - German Dark Lager
- 14.5 points - Beer #14-1019, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Dark amber, good carbonation and head. Very small hint of dark malt aroma. Bitter, fairly smooth, some dark malt flavor. ("Just racked today.")
-
Hefe-Weizen
Style 19 - German-style Wheat Beer
- 15 points - Beer #14-1016, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Yellow opaque, huge bubbles, poor head. Banana aroma. Thick, lots of bananas.
-
Irish Stout
Style 11 - Stout
- 15 points - Beer #14-1017, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Very very dark brown. Good head. Chocolate-coffee aromas. Chocolate-coffee-bitter. Bitterness is somehow out of balance...sticks in throat in finish.
-
Märzen
Style 17 - Vienna / Märzen / Oktoberfest
- 9 points - Beer #14-1018, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Yellow, big bubbles, good head. Smells like chili sauce?! No, really...like tomato paste. Good body and hop flavor, although weird aroma hits immediately. OK bitter finish.
-
Premium Ale
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 13 points - Beer #14-1014, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Amber clear, high carbonation, good head. Caramel aroma and spicy hops. Good body, big hop flavor, but not particularly bitter. Finishes relatively clean.
-
Slickrock Lager
Style 14 - German Light Lager
- 13.5 points - Beer #14-1013, at the brewery, June 17, 1995
Bright yellow, some haze, good carbonation and head. Very clean aroma. Bitter with good hop flavor. Good body. Finishes clean, slightly bitter.
