My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:

• Blueberry Blonde
  Style 21 - Fruit / Vegetable Beer
  • 9 points - Beer #28-2313, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Red-amber opaque, thick head. Sour smell, some berries. Almost - but not quite - vinegar. No berry flavor at all, not to mention any resemblance to beer.

• Cask Scotch Ale (beer engine)
  Style 8 - Scottish Ale
  • 9.5 points - Beer #28-2311, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Red-amber opaque, low head. Smells musty. Thin, not a lot of flavor of any kind, sticky sweet, no alcohol.

• Golden Wheat
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 13.5 points - Beer #28-2306, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Yellow, hazy, OK head. Smells maybe a little smoky, maybe a little vegetal/musty. OK body, sweet, lots of wheat flavor. Typical American Wheat...at least they said so up front.

• Icehaus Pale Ale
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 15 points - Beer #28-2310, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Amber, low carbonation, OK head. Very spicy aroma. Good body, nice spicy hops.

• O'Brien's Texas Stout
  Style 11 - Stout
  • 12 points - Beer #28-2312, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Brown-black, no head. Treacly coffee aroma. Sweet, black, some fusels, some sticky hops.

• Oktoberfest
  Style 17 - Vienna / Märzen / Oktoberfest
  • 9.5 points - Beer #28-2309, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Amber, no head. Sweet, musty Tettnang aroma. Diacetyl flavor, sweet. Fairly smooth, if you can get past the taste.

• Sara's Brown
  Style 4 - Mild / Brown Ale
  • 4 points - Beer #28-2308, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Red-brown, clear, low head. Smells like dill pickles. There's WAY too much cane sugar in this. It has a major-league TWANG that really shouldn't be there. Sour indeed.

• Scotch Ale
  Style 8 - Scottish Ale
  • 19 points - Beer #21-1775, Great American Beer Festival XV, Denver CO, September 28, 1996
    Dark golden brown, huge head. Hint of smoke, whiskey-ish. Tastes like mild Scotch Whisky! Gold Medal, 1996 GABF.

• White Rock Red
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 13 points - Beer #28-2307, at the brewery, October 12, 1997
    Amber, low head. Fairly malty aroma. Sweet, fruity, kinda watery.
