My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
11.0 points overall
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 11.5 points - Beer #3-176, 1993 American Homebrewers Association Convention, Portland OR, July 27, 1993
Amber. Lots of little bubbles. Bitter aroma, and a little musty. Thick. Bitter. Quick finish. Not particularly tasty.
Style 13 - German Dark Lager
- 11.5 points - Beer #14-988, The HopYard, Pleasanton CA, May 19, 1995
Amber, low carbonation and head. Caramel aroma. Caramel and hop flavors, but extreme. (Extreme as in not-balanced-at-all.)
Bohemian Pilsner Beer (bottled)
Style 15 - Classic Pilsener
- 9.5 points - Beer #6-316, Beer Across America, Castro Valley CA, April 30, 1994
January 1994 selection. Thick white head. Yellow-golden. Not many bubbles at all. Big spicy hop aroma...spicy to the point of being metallic! Yep. Metallic flavor. Are the hops overdone or just inappropriate? Body is OK, malty finish, but it's just not good. Ick.
