These notes reappeared more than five years after my visit. At the time, this place and the Mill in Winter Park were central Florida's only breweries. Take I-4 East to Kirkman Road (exit 30B), across from Universal Studios. Good menu, reasonable prices, and very environmentally-conscious.
My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
14.5 points overall
Style 16 - American Lager
- 15 points - Beer #30-2476, at the brewery, February 1, 1993
No head. Good flavor for such a light beer. Slightly sweet aftertaste - good for style.
Hornet Tail IPA
Style 5 - English-style Pale Ale
Beer #30-2479, at the brewery, February 1, 1993
Hoppier version of Red Rock. Smoother.
Style 4 - Mild / Brown Ale
Beer #30-2478, at the brewery, February 1, 1993
A little burnt and sweet. Good Brown, a little too sweet.
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 14 points - Beer #30-2477, at the brewery, February 1, 1993
Dark for an "amber". Malty aroma. If this is "amber", their IPA must be a hop bomb!
