My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
14.5 points overall
-
90 Shilling
Style 8 - Scottish Ale
- 13 points - Beer #33-2903, Sanford's Grub and Pub, Spearfish SD, June 19, 1998
Brown, slight haze, thick head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Medium body, papery, caramelly. Too bad it's not fresh.
-
90 Shilling (bottled)
Style 8 - Scottish Ale
- 15 points - Beer #26-2148, Kaunakakai HI, at home, September 1, 1997
Brown, clear, low carbonation, big head. Smells smoky, fresh hops. Good body, sweet, fairly smoky. Rather bitter, especially late. Good beer, but overhopped for the style.
-
Cutthroat Porter
Style 9 - Porter
- 13.5 points - Beer #8-583, Great American Beer Festival XIII, Denver CO, October 22, 1994
Spicy aroma. They had a 90/- beer here, but it was gone by the time I got to their booth.
-
Easy Street Wheat (bottled)
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 14.5 points - Beer #26-2145, Kaunakakai HI, at home, September 1, 1997
Yellow opaque, big white head.. Wheat aroma, some spicy hops. Big carbonation bite, lots of wheat flavor. Sharp bitterness comes and goes quickly. Clean finish with a little citrus sharpness.
-
Levity Ale (bottled)
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 15.5 points - Beer #26-2147, Kaunakakai HI, at home, September 1, 1997
Amber, clear, high carbonation and head. Nice malty-hoppy mix in the nose. Very malty, nice body, refreshing. A little sweet in the middle, pretty clean late.
