My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
11.5 points overall
Beaver Tail Brown Ale (bottled)
Style 4 - Mild / Brown Ale
- 8.5 points - Beer #22-1850, Willman's, Grand Island NE, October 1, 1996
Brown, huge head, gusher. Hint of roast malt aroma. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Some brown malt late. Sour, probably infected.
Pale Ale (bottled)
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 10.5 points - Beer #22-1871, Willman's, Grand Island NE, October 1, 1996
WAY too much head. Very high carbonation. Amber opaque. Caramelly-perfumey smell. Thick, bitter. Long bitter finish. One-dimensional.
Rainbow Trout Stout (bottled)
Style 11 - Stout
- 15.5 points - Beer #22-1876, Willman's, Grand Island NE, October 7, 1996
Black, huge brown head. Coffee aroma. Pretty roasty...lots of black malt flavor. Pretty good body. Long bitterish roasty finish. This is it...the 300th and final beer of the GABF XV trip.
