My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
16.0 points overall
-
Doggie Style Ale (bottled)
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 15 points - Beer #29-2371, Willow Glen Liquors, San Jose CA, December 27, 1997
Red-brown, pretty clear, good head. Smells like tropical fruit. Good body, sweet-ish. Pretty good fruity hop flavor all the way through. Unexpectedly clean finish.. Thanks to for the bottle!

Doggie Style Ale
Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
- 15 points - Beer #20-1646, Great American Beer Festival XV, Denver CO, September 26, 1996
Amber-brown. Floral-spicy nose. Big floral hop flavor. OK body. Long bitter-floral finish.

Old Scratch Lager (bottled)
Style 24 - California Common Beer
- 16 points - Beer #29-2372, Willow Glen Liquors, San Jose CA, December 27, 1997
Amber, thick white head, moderate carbonation. Some grapefruit aroma and a little smoke. Good body, nice and malty. Real nice balance, not too bitter and not too sweet. Not as all-around-big as Anchor Steam, but it's a pretty good beer. Thanks to for the bottle!
-
Road Dog Ale (bottled)
Style 8 - Scottish Ale
- 17 points - Beer #29-2375, Willow Glen Liquors, San Jose CA, December 28, 1997
Deep dark red, high carbonation, not a lot of head. Very smoky aroma. Fairly big body, nice dark maltiness, and a fair bit of smoke. Sweetness grows throughout the finish. Compare this one to Broadway's draught version. Thanks to for the bottle!
