Brewer: Mike Deliman.
I taught Mike how to brew one day back in 1992...well, what actually happened was that Mike stood there and took notes while I did all the work. But he's been an all-grain brewer since Day One, and not a bad one at that.
My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
14.0 points overall
Blueberry Hefe (bottled)
Style 21 - Fruit / Vegetable Beer
- 13.5 points - Beer #19-1473, Kamuela HI, at home, May 14, 1996
Something of a gusher. Red beer, big pink head. Hint of blueberry aroma, but pretty clean. Very high carbonation...expands in your mouth! Blueberry flavor, vague hints of Hefe behind that. Surprisingly dry. According to , it's the same beer as the Hefe, with blueberries and cherries added to the fermentation.
Style 19 - German-style Wheat Beer
- 14 points - Beer #19-1472, Kamuela HI, at home, May 14, 1996
Amber-opaque, fizzy, huge head. Wheat aroma, with fruity/spicy hops. Very high carbonation. Good clove flavor, good body. Rather bitter, especially in finish. says, "I'd imagine the hefeweisse will be written up as a bit over hopped..." He's right.
