Uncomfortable bar with no rail. Electric darts. Full bar, with green neon lighting. Nice building, but lousy atmosphere. Victorian interior just doesn't work with LOUD "house" music. At least there's hockey on ESPN. Couldn't find the brewhouse during my visit, and the bartender was no help...turns out their beer is actually brewed under contract by an unknown brewery.

Directions: Right around the corner from Westwood Brewing.

• Bruin Blonde
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 12 points - Beer #17-1282, at the brewery, February 11, 1996
    Golden, low carbonation, no head. Honey aroma. Very clean, slightly sweet.

• Honey Bear Ale
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 9.5 points - Beer #17-1284, at the brewery, February 11, 1996
    Slightly darker than golden, big bubbles. Smells very faintly musty. Tastes not so faintly musty and pretty sharp. Nasty.

• Lunch Pail Ale
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 11.5 points - Beer #17-1283, at the brewery, February 11, 1996
    Golden, OK head. Clean aroma. Sweet, very very slight bitterness in finish.

• Red
  Style 6 - American-style Pale Ale
  • 12 points - Beer #17-1286, at the brewery, February 11, 1996
    Red? Green? Hard to tell. Good head. Faintly spicy aroma, some crystal. Least offensive of the lot. Almost has some crystal character and body.

• Twelve-Step Bock
  Style 12 - Bock
  • 16 points - Beer #17-1287, at the brewery, February 11, 1996
    Red-amber, great head. Toffee aroma. Toffee, chocolate, alcohol flavors. Bitter finish. Call it a Doppelbock. 9.1% ABV.

• Westwood Wheat
  Style 19 - German-style Wheat Beer

    Yellow? Green? Can't tell. No head. Smells of burnt bananas. Sour, banana flavor.
