My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
13.5 points overall
-
Ale (bottled)
Style 5 - English-style Pale Ale
- 12 points - Beer #31-2599, Siebel Institute, Chicago IL, April 1, 1998
Amber-brown, very low carbonation and head. Smells like a newspaper, some faint caramel. Medium body, fruity, not very bitter.
- 15 points - Beer #18-1457, Kamuela Liquor Store, Kamuela HI, May 9, 1996
Amber, moderate carbonation, big head. Hops and diacetyl aroma. Lots of buttery diacetyl flavor, reasonably bitter.
-
Ale
Style 5 - English-style Pale Ale
- 15 points - Beer #9-672, The HopYard, Pleasanton CA, December 28, 1994
Pale-amber. Very thin head and low carbonation. Vegetal hop aroma. (That is, it smells like hop plants.) Not assertive. Well-balanced mouthfeel, especially for such a light-bodied ale. Quick bitter finish.
- 11 points - Beer #2-132, Lyon's Brewery, Dublin CA, July 5, 1993
Yellowy-amber. Creamy head. Smells like beer. Tastes like beer, too. Very very ordinary. Not impressed.
