My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
15.0 points overall
-
Edomae (canned)
Style 14 - German Light Lager
- 13 points - Beer #29-2398, Sean Connolly's house, Kaunakakai HI, February 21, 1998
Golden, low carbonation, low head. Smells sweet. Big carbonation bite, sweet, unexpected mild hop flavor.
-
Edomae (bottled)
Style 14 - German Light Lager
- 15.5 points - Beer #11-804, Sushi Sue's, Alameda CA, March 17, 1995
Pale. Huge bubbles. Weak-to-OK head. Very nice malty aroma. Some fresh hops in background. Good and malty. High carbonation. Sweet clean finish.
-
Kuronama (bottled)
Style 13 - German Dark Lager
- 15 points - Beer #36-3482, 2000 World Beer Cup, Milwaukee WI, July 11, 2000
Deep dark red, thick head. Mildly roasty, peppery aroma. Medium-light body, sweetish black flavor and finish.
-
Super Dry (bottled)
Style 14 - German Light Lager
- 16 points - Beer #25-2026, Kamuela Liquor Store, Kamuela HI, March 4, 1997
Pale golden, good head, moderate carbonation. Pale malt aroma, not sickly-sweet like many industrial beers. Light body, fair balance. Hint of bitterness just before a water-clean finish. Not a beer I'd buy regularly, but not a bad beer. Brewed by Molson, Toronto ON. See The Essentials of Beer Style, page 60, for a description of Dry Beers.
