It's unclear whether Wyder's is still located in Canada, as their Web page lists an Oakland, California telephone number. (No, I haven't called them.)
My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
17.0 points overall
-
Apple Cider
Style 28 - Cider
- 20 points - Beer #10-693, The HopYard, Pleasanton CA, February 4, 1995
VERY pale! Almost no color at all. Fizzy. Apple juice aroma. Fizz jumps up and hits your nose. Carbonation looks a lot higher than it is. Good flavor and quick clean finish. Strong fresh apple flavor. Nice and dry.
-
Dry Cider
Style 28 - Cider
- 18 points - Beer #2-136, Lyon's Brewery, Dublin CA, July 5, 1993
Pale! Not much darker than water. Sparkling. Lots of alcohol aroma, lots of apple. Ooooooh, that's smooth. Yum!
-
Dry Pear Hard Cider (bottled)
Style 28 - Cider
- 15.5 points - Beer #26-2120, The Liquor Collection, Honolulu HI, August 10, 1997
Pale, almost white, almost no carbonation. Big pear aroma, a little perfumey. Big pear flavor, very sweet. Perfumey tart finish.
-
Peach Cider
Style 28 - Cider
- 15 points - Beer #12-889, The HopYard, Pleasanton CA, April 26, 1995
Very pale, some pink. Moderate carbonation. Lots of peach aroma, but not sweet. Thick, sweet, good peach flavor, especially in finish.
