  Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
  • 14.5 points - Beer #36-3536, Belmont Station, Portland OR, September 22, 2000
    Deep golden, high carbonation, massive head. Belgian banana aroma. Light body, fizzy, intensely estery and highly alcoholic.

  • 15 points - Beer #35-3342, Pat's Tap, Appleton WI, August 24, 1999
    Golden, MASSIVE head and carbonation. Strong spicy banana aroma. Medium body, enormously fizzy. Big sweet banana flavor, mildly bitter finish.

• St. Louis Gueuze (bottled)
  Style 3 - Belgian-style Lambic
  • 15 points - Beer #33-2716, Siebel Institute, Chicago IL, April 9, 1998
    Brown, low head. Winey aroma, some cherries, lots of almonds. Major almond flavor. Not much carbonation at all. Sweet, rather tart. The opinion in the room is that the brewery may have put the wrong label on this bottle.
