My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
16.5 points overall
Style 3 - Belgian-style Lambic
- 17 points - Beer #18-1385, Kamuela Liquor Store, Kamuela HI, April 23, 1996
Red-pink opaque, moderate carbonation, big pinkish head. Raspberry aroma assertive but not obnoxious. Malty, raspberry tart-sweet. Pretty tasty! "Matured three years in oak." Choo would like this.
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 15.5 points - Beer #36-3560, Falling Rock, Denver CO, October 5, 2000
Deep amber, low carbonation, thick head. Raisiny, estery, alcoholic aroma. Sweet, caramelly, mildly fruity (acetaldehyde?). Not nearly as complex as Boon's. Tastes a lot like a Dubbel.
