• Alexander Rodenbach (bottled)
  Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
  • 18 points - Beer #33-2710, Siebel Institute, Chicago IL, April 9, 1998
    Deep red, thick head. Lots of black cherry aroma. Sweet cherry flavor, then sour cherries, then a drying finish. Not nearly as acidic as Grand Cru, but still pretty tart.

  Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
  • 16 points - Beer #36-3538, Belmont Station, Portland OR, September 23, 2000
    Red-brown, very high carbonation, good head. Sour, fruity aroma. Light body, fizzy, sweet and tart.

    Deep red-brown, good head. Sour, banana aroma. Very sour, lots of cherry with some chocolate in the background. Very astringent. Pretty refreshing, although the acidity might keep me from drinking more than a few.
