My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
15.5 points overall
-
Chapeau Exotic Lambic (bottled)
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 16 points - Beer #34-2992, 1st Wines and Spirits, Allouez WI, July 24, 1998
Golden, moderate carbonation, short-lived head. Some pineapple aroma, spicy. Light body, pretty big pineapple flavor, mildly sweet. Tastes like a holiday ham, smoked and baked with pineapples and cloves.
-
Chapeau Fraises Lambic (bottled)
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 15 points - Beer #34-2998, 1st Wines and Spirits, Allouez WI, July 25, 1998
Pinkish orange, not much head. Strawberry aroma, smells a little stale. Medium body, strong sweet strawberry flaor, perfumey. Maybe some bananas in the background, lending an overall kiwi-like character.
-
Chapeau Mirabelle Lambic (bottled)
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 17.5 points - Beer #34-2994, 1st Wines and Spirits, Allouez WI, July 25, 1998
Pinkish golden, high carbonation, thin head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Medium body, moderate plum flavor. Tastes and feels like the plum wine from Sushi Sue's, only fizzy.
-
Chapeau Peche Lambic (bottled)
Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 15.5 points - Beer #34-2996, 1st Wines and Spirits, Allouez WI, July 25, 1998
Golden amber, high carbonation, thin head. Faint peach aroma, some oxidation. Medium body, sweet, big peach and malt flavor.
-

Style 2 - Belgian / French Ale
- 13.5 points - Beer #34-3000, 1st Wines and Spirits, Allouez WI, July 25, 1998
