My Opinion Of The Beers That I've Tried:
15.5 points overall
Style 8 - Scottish Ale
- 15 points - Beer #32-2605, Siebel Institute, Chicago IL, April 1, 1998
Red, flat, moderate head. Wood, peat aromas. Sweet, rather meaty. (Autolysed?) Bitterish toward the end.
Jacobite Ale (bottled)
Style 23 - Specialty Beer
- 16 points - Beer #29-2382, Belmont Station, Portland OR, September 11, 2000
"Ale brewed with coriander". Deep dark red, low head. Big coriander aroma. Medium body, darkly sweet like molasses, big coriander flavor and a long licorice finish that tastes a lot like juniper.
