• Double Dark (bottled)
  Style 8 - Scottish Ale
  • 15 points - Beer #33-2779, Siebel Institute, Chicago IL, May 12, 1998
    Darker amber, low carbonation and head. Sweet, smoky, earthy, diacetyl aromas. Medium body, caramel sweet, quite a lot of diacetyl.

• Golden Promise Traditional Scottish Ale (bottled)

    Very nice amber, moderate carbonation, OK head. Smells like whisky! Tastes like whisky, too. Even shrivels my tongue up. Pretty smoky. "Naturally brewed with organically grown barley and hops."

    Red opaque, nice tan head. Hoppy alcoholic aroma. Big and malty, bitter, and full of alcohol. Long bitter finish.
