How It Tastes
Terra pours a clear pale gold, a shade lighter than Hite, with a moderate white head. HiteJinro built the beer’s marketing around “clean” and “fresh”, the taste backs that up more than most beer marketing claims do, with a lighter, softer maltiness than Cass or Hite and a touch more carbonation snap. Bitterness is very low and the finish is quick and clean, making it easy to see why it broke sales records within weeks of its 2019 launch.
Terra is the newest of Korea’s big three lagers, and it drinks like it was designed specifically to feel lighter and crisper than its two older rivals.
- Freshest, lightest-drinking of Korea’s big three lagers
- All-malt recipe, no rice or corn adjuncts
- Fastest-growing Korean beer brand of the past decade
- Widely available at Asian grocery retailers in the US
- Still trails Cass in overall domestic market share
- Very light flavor profile, easy to mistake for other Korean lagers blind
- Not stocked on Saucey
