As much as I love drinking beer, I am also mad into fitness, outdoors, and hiking. Needless to say, I’ve always been intrigued by non-alcoholic beer options.

Lately, I’ve been exploring BrewDog’s non-alcoholic beer lineup, and I must say I’m impressed.

BrewDog is an excellent starting point for those also interested in venturing into the realm of non-alcoholic beers.

Brewdog Non-Alcoholic Beer Overview

Let me give you a brief overview of some of their offerings, which include Punk AF, Hazy AF, and Nanny State.

Punk AF

Punk AF is Brewdog’s alcohol-free version of their flagship Punk IPA. It has all the flavor and character of its alcoholic counterpart but with less than 0.5% ABV.

As a fan of hoppy beverages, I appreciate the well-balanced, full-bodied mouthfeel that Hazy AF brings to the table.

Brewed in Scotland like other Brewdog offerings, this non-alcoholic beer is perfect for those of us who seek a hazy and flavorful craft ale, without the effects of alcohol.

Nanny State

Nanny State is Brewdog’s flagship alcohol-free beer. It is labeled as a pale ale but has the characteristics of a hoppy brown ale. I find it fascinating how this beer manages to pack so much flavor despite its low alcohol content (less than 0.5% ABV).

Brewed in Scotland, Nanny State incorporates a variety of hops, resulting in a satisfying mixture of bitterness and complex flavors. As a low-alcohol beer alternative, the cost of Nanny State is on par with other NA craft beers; it’s an excellent choice for those seeking a unique and tasty alcohol-free drinking experience.

If you’re after a fruitier and zestier option, Hazy AF should be your go-to.

But, if you’re seeking a more hop-forward and bold flavor, then Nanny State would be the better choice.

My favourite by far is the Punk AF, especially when I am out on hikes, it is refreshing and much better than having a squirt of water at the top when you have conquered the feat of climbing up the top of a mountain.

So, they might still have some alcohol content, albeit minimal. Nonetheless, switching to non-alcoholic beer options can lead to reduced caloric and sugar intake and make it easier to moderate alcohol consumption.

One of my favorite non-alcoholic beers is the Run Wild IPA by Athletic Brewing Company. They’ve crafted a flavorful IPA that doesn’t compromise on taste, despite its lack of alcohol.

With a blend of citrus and floral notes, Run Wild sets itself apart from other non-alcoholic offerings by offering a hoppy and satisfying experience. I find that it pairs well with a variety of dishes, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.

Bravus Brewing Co. Non-Alcoholic IPA

Another option worth trying is the Bravus Brewing Co. Non-Alcoholic IPA.

With its bold and hoppy flavor, this IPA provides a satisfying alternative to traditional alcoholic IPAs.

The well-balanced malt and hop profile complements my favorite spicy foods, and I enjoy the fact that I can maintain a clear head while still appreciating a flavorful beer.

Lagunitas IPNA

Lastly, I recommend giving the Lagunitas IPNA a try. As a fan of Lagunitas’ other offerings, the IPNA does not disappoint in terms of taste and quality.

This non-alcoholic brew provides a pleasant balance of maltiness and hoppiness that is reminiscent of traditional pale ales. I appreciate its smooth, crisp finish and ability to stand up to a wide range of dishes.
