BrewDog Becomes Leicester Tigers’ Official Beer Partner for 2026-27

Leicester Tigers have a new name behind the bar at Mattioli Woods Welford Road. The Premiership Rugby club has confirmed a multi-year deal with BrewDog, who will become the club’s Official Beer Partner starting with the 2026-27 season.

The partnership goes beyond simply pouring pints on matchday. Both organisations say the deal includes fan-focused initiatives, rewards, and activations throughout the season, plus a joint commitment to supporting the local community through the Leicester Tigers Foundation.

What the Deal Actually Changes on Matchday

Leicester Tigers’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Foster, confirmed BrewDog is joining on a long-term deal, describing the brewery as “fully committed to supporting Tigers, and the local community” and saying the club looks forward to working with BrewDog “to offer fans refreshment on matchdays.”

Foster also used the announcement to thank outgoing partner Everards for years of support, noting the brewery “went from partners to friends.” Importantly, BrewDog isn’t replacing everything on tap: Foster confirmed the existing agreements with Guinness and Thatchers remain in place long-term, so BrewDog’s range will sit alongside those rather than push them out.

BrewDog’s Chief Commercial Officer, Lauren Carrol, called Leicester Tigers “an iconic rugby union club with a hugely passionate fanbase” and framed the deal as a chance to “build momentum within the rugby community.” Carrol added that the partnership is designed to go beyond simply serving beer, with fan experience central to how BrewDog shows up on matchday.

BrewDog has been polarizing since it launched in 2007, but its beer range has genuinely widened well beyond Punk IPA. See our coverage of BrewDog’s Liquid Visions series for a look at where the brand has been taking its core lineup lately.

Top BrewDog Beers to Try

If this partnership has you curious about BrewDog beyond the can you’ve already had, here are five worth seeking out, from the beer that started the brand to a couple of picks most casual drinkers miss.

Punk IPA: the beer that launched BrewDog in 2007, still the brand’s flagship

1. Punk IPA (5.4% ABV)

The beer that started it all in 2007. A West Coast-leaning IPA built on citrus and pine hop character, and still BrewDog’s best-known beer worldwide. If you’ve only had one BrewDog beer, it was probably this one, and it’s the fairest baseline for judging everything else in the range.

2. Clockwork Tangerine (4.5% ABV)

A sessionable IPA infused with real tangerine, built to be lighter and easier to drink through a full match than Punk IPA. A good pick if you want BrewDog’s hop character without committing to a bigger, more bitter beer.

3. 5 A.M. Saint (5% ABV)

An American amber ale loaded with hops for a beer style that usually plays it safe. Toasted malt and sunflower seed character up front, with citrus zest on the finish. A solid middle-ground pick for someone who finds IPAs too bitter but wants more flavor than a standard lager.

4. Kaiser Co-Op (German-Style Dortmunder)

BrewDog’s take on a Dortmunder Export, a German lager style that splits the difference between a pilsner and a Munich helles. Dry-hopped for a bit more citrus zip than a traditional Dortmunder, but still built to be a clean, easy-drinking lager rather than a hop showcase.

5. Choco Libre (Mexican Chocolate Stout)

The pick for after the match rather than during it. A Mexican-style chocolate stout with dark chocolate, mocha, and warming spice, built as a dessert beer rather than a session drink. If your image of BrewDog stops at hoppy pale ales, this is the one that resets it.
